We offer warmest congratulations to our dear friend Fr Ger Jones, Co-PP, Odhrán Pastoral Area, currently resident in Portroe on his appointment as the next Killaloe Diocesan Secretary and Co-PP, Abbey Pastoral Area and resident in Cloughleigh. Ger commenced his studies for the priesthood at St Patrick’s College, Maynooth in September 2004 and transferred to the Pontifical Irish College in Rome in 2007. He was ordained to the priesthood in August 2011. Having served as both deacon and priest in Nenagh, before moving to Portroe, Ger will now take another exciting step on his faith journey. We in Nenagh Parish are immensely proud of our friend and the small part we have played thus far in his ongoing service to God and the people of the church. He came to North Tipperary as a fresh-faced young man in the 2000s and, frustratingly for some of us, he leaves the county still as fresh-faced as ever!!! We know he won’t be a stranger!
