Fr Lorcán extends a world of ‘thank-yous’ to everyone across the parishes of Portroe, Burgess, Youghalarra and Nenagh who gave so generously to the Inter-Parish Act of Kindness for Autumn 2025.
The more-than-worthy charities selected for this season’s ‘act’ are Ruhama and the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
During the past number of weeks you were invited to donate tea, coffee and hot chocolate and you did so in your droves. The act of donating hot drinks is about offering physical warmth to the recipients of these gifts. It is also about the spiritual gesture of wrapping the kindness of our hearts around those in greater need than ourselves.
However small or large your contribution, thank you so much on behalf of those who will benefit from your effort.
The kindness of strangers is one of the most powerful of all the many acts of kindness.
